Chapters

IIE Chapters are organized into territories called regions. Currently there are 11 regions: 7 in the U.S., one each in Mexico, Canada, Asia, and South/Central America. Through regularly scheduled meetings and activities, IIE chapters serve as local forums for networking and contact building, information sharing and problem solving. Chapters organize and sponsor plant tours, conferences, guest speaker special events, and other exciting activities during the program year. IIE chapters are run by IIE members whose efforts are supported by the Chapter Operations Department and the Region Vice Presidents. The staff develops resources and provides assistance to chapter leaders. IIE chapters provide opportunity for members to take a leadership role at local, regional and national levels of the organization.

Student Chapters
An IIE student chapter is a group of student IIE members at a particular college or university that has an IE degree program. Membership in a student chapter, where available, is included in IIE student membership dues -- there's no extra charge. Chapter officers are elected by the members and a chapter Faculty Advisor is appointed by the department.

Senior Chapters
An IIE professional chapter is a group of IIE members in a specific geographical area. Chapters are formed by individuals who see the need for greater professional activity in their area. Membership in a local chapter, where available, is included in IIE membership dues -- there is no extra charge.
